Classic to Deluxe Past Season Upgrade History
Diamond Mind is working hard to upgrade as many older Classic Past Season (CPS) databases to Deluxe Past Season (DPS) editions as possible and that work is proceeding at a pace of about 3 or 4 upgraded seasons per year.
Seasons for the years 1944, 1946, 1949-52, 1956, 1959-1962 and 1964-2020 are now available as Deluxe Past Season editions which include real-life transactions and lineups, left/right splits stats and complete fielding stats.
Other upgraded Deluxe Past Seasons to fill in the gaps for seasons for the years before 1964 and as far back as the 1930s* will become available over time (Retrosheet play-by-play data for as far back as the 1932 season is now available.).
With each updated season database requiring a number of months of laborious research, data entry and testing, it will be a few years before the work of upgrading is completed. Watch the Diamond Mind Baseball Forums for updates from DMBJim about what upgraded seasons are coming next.
