Get The Latest Deluxe Past Season Database Updates
Our season collection has evolved over time and will continue to do so.
At the time each season was introduced, it took full advantage of the features in the then-current version of Diamond Mind Baseball, the limits of the computers we were supporting at the time, and available historical data.
But the world doesn't stand still. Some of these disks were created many years ago, and since the time of their creation, many new features have been added to the game, computers have become more powerful and disk space much more plentiful, new sources of historical data have become available, and some of our research methods have improved.
As a result, we have periodically upgraded some or all of our past seasons to take advantage of these developments, and we will continue to do so.
This page describes our upgrade policies and describes the upgrades that we have made available recently.
From time to time, we discover errors in the statistics or ratings. When that happens, we update our master copies of those seasons so the corrections will be included in new shipments of those seasons.
If you purchased a past season before a correction was made, you can apply the corrections yourself. To keep you up to date, we list corrections on the Season Support Page.
We have gradually been adding actual left/right splits and transactions and lineups to Classic Past Seasons. If we’ve upgraded a past season, we will provide owners of that past season the upgrade for $10.00. To purchase a season upgrade, a customer should email customer support: email@example.com. We will send the customer special promo code enabling them to purchase a download of the upgraded season for the special upgrade price.
To some extent, all of our past seasons have been upgraded more than once. For example, when we released Diamond Mind Baseball version 10, we converted our entire catalog to the new format and added some additional information to the era, park, and team records.
You don’t need to repurchase past seasons when you upgrade to the latest version of Diamond Mind Baseball. We include a conversion feature in every new release of Diamond Mind so your investment in past seasons is preserved to the fullest extent possible.
On the other hand, some past seasons have been improved in very significant ways, and you may decide those upgrades are worth paying for. Here is a list of upgraded past seasons that we have made available in recent years:
